Education

While primarily a contract R&D organization, the Signal Processing Branch is also very active in contributing to Georgia Tech’s primary mission of technological education for the 21st century.  SPB staff contribute to Georgia Tech’s educational activities in three major ways.

TEACHING ACADEMIC COURSES
Several SPB staff members teach regularly in various academic schools and departments within Georgia Tech.  Courses taught in recent years include:

CONTINUING EDUCATION
Georgia Tech and GTRI offer an extensive selection of technical short courses and conferences through the Department of Distance Learning, Continuing Education, and Outreach.  These courses are designed to keep engineers and other professionals up-to-date on the latest developments in a variety of specialized fields.  SPB staff sponsor several of these courses, and teach in many more.

In addition to their regularly scheduled offerings in Atlanta, most Georgia Tech short courses can be offered at a sponsor’s site under special arrangement.  In addition, tailored short courses can be developed to meet special training needs.  Contact Georgia Tech’s Department of Continuing Education to discuss ways in which we can support your organizations training requirements.

ADJUNCT PROFESSORSHIPS
Several SPB senior staff members also hold Adjunct Professor titles within various schools and departments of Georgia Tech.  In addition to teaching, adjunct faculty also support Georgia Tech’s educational mission through research advisement and service on various examination, proposal, and final defense committees for graduate students.  The current SPB adjunct faculty are:
