Sponsored by: Air Force Research Laboratory
Hosted by: Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia

Welcome to the homepage of the 2005 18th Annual Electronic Combat (EC) Technical Interchange Meeting (TIM)!  Our theme this year is Network Centric Warfare.  For the past seventeen years, the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) has sponsored the EC TIM.  In an effort to expand these meetings to address the full range of electronic combat elements will include Electronic Attack (EA), Electronic Protection (EP), as well as Electronic Support (ES).  EA/EP/ES will be addressed individually as well as from the perspective of how the technologies are linked together in such applications as shared apertures.

Evolving technology in EA/EP/ES is demanding higher levels of integration that requires coordination among design engineers in order for all systems to work effectively and efficiently.  The main purpose of these meetings is to encourage communication within the technical community, both formally through the presentations and informally through small group discussions during the EC TIM.

The meetings are held at the SECRET/NOFORN level and are attended by government, industry, and university personnel.  Attendance at this meeting is restricted to individuals who possess a U.S. Secret security clearance and need-to-know.  Presentations given at the meetings cover a broad range of topics and represent a cross-section of the efforts in the community including government, industry, and university research and testing. Presenters provide a copy of their presentation in advance and these materials are published in notebook form and provided to all attendees at the beginning of the meeting.

Invitations are mailed in mid-May and included the password to access additional information at this website.  If you have not received an invitation and would like more information you may contact Kim Kimmel at the link provided below.
